You have two plans to choose from:

Group Term Life Insurance

  • Who is eligible? Members of The Missouri Bar, your spouses, your children, your employees, employee’s spouse and employee’s children.
  • Coverage can be applied for up through age 59.
  • Rates increase as you reach a new age bracket (40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70) or if the overall group plan rates are increased. Once your coverage is approved and you have a certificate, no future proof of insurability will be required. As long as you pay your premium and do not elect to terminate your coverage, you will have insurance until age 75 which is when this plan terminates.
  • Discounts are given for non-tobacco users. Must be tobacco free for at least 12 months to qualify.
  • Plan Features:
    • Member Life up to $1,000,000
    • Spouse Life up to $500,000 
    • Employee Life up to $250,000 
    • Spouse of Employee Life up to $250,000 but cannot exceed Employee’s amount of insurance 
    • Child Life up to $20,000 (children ages 15 days to six months up to $4,000)
    • Member and Spouse Accidental Death and Dismemberment up to $500,000
    • Employee Accidental Death and Dismemberment up to $250,000
    • Disability Waiver of Premium
    • Accelerated Life Benefit
  • Beneficiary designation is your choice. A family member can be chosen, a trust or business partner(s).
  • Monthly automatic checking or savings premium withdrawal option available.

Group Level Term Life Insurance

  • Who is eligible? Members of The Missouri Bar, your spouses, your children, your employees, employee's spouse and employee's children.
  • Coverage can be applied for up through age 60 if applying for a 10-year period or through age 50 for a 20-year period.
  • Rates are guaranteed for a 10-year or 20-year period.**  Proof of insurability is required to purchase another 10 or 20 years of level coverage.
  • Discounts are given for non-tobacco users. Must be tobacco free for at least 12 months to qualify.
  • Plan Features:
    • Member Life up to $1,000,000
    • Spouse Life up to $500,000
    • Employee Life up to $250,000 
    • Spouse of Employee Life up to $250,000 but cannot exceed Employee’s amount of insurance 
    • Child Life up to $20,000 (children ages 15 days to six months up to $4,000) 
    • Member and Spouse Accidental Death and Dismemberment up to $500,000 
    • Employee Accidental Death and Dismemberment up to $250,000 
    • Disability Waiver of Premium 
    • Accelerated Life Benefit
  • Beneficiary designation is your choice. A family member can be chosen, a trust or business partner(s).

 * Insurance is underwritten by ReliaStar Life Insurance Company (a member of the ING family of companies).

** The initial premium will not change for the first 10 or 20 years unless the insurance company exercises its right to change premium rates for all insureds covered under the policy with 60 days advance written notice.
